Flight Deck Engineering & Ergonomics

  • Led efforts to test a new installation method for the heads up display system in the 777X under vibration conditions
  • Developed marketing tools to help customer visualize the personal electronics mount options for the 777 and 777X
  • Designed flight deck component prototypes to facilitate usability validation studies using CATIA V5, ENOVIA, and 3D Printing techologies

BCA Airplane Health Management

  • User experience research lead on customer site visits to Southwest Airlines and United Airlines
  • Led a day long user experience workshop for airline customers to identify top pain points with the current Airplane Health Management (AHM) product

Environment Health & Safety Engineering

737 Tooling

  • Designed tools for the use on the 737 airplane program utilizing CATIA V5 and ENOVIA

  • Implemented a storage bag in tool kits to ensure that consumables don’t become foreign object debris
  • Designed plastic molds to create protective foam covers for underbelly antenna to prevent head strike injuries

Ergonomics Technology and Safety

  • Design a quick release connector to attach tools to an Equipois ZeroG tool balancing system for use on jobs which pose a high ergonomic risk to the worker in the factory
  • Designed a tool lift to support torque wrenches in order to reduce the risk of injury to the upper body
  • Improved a software Python program to control a Baxter Research Robot by adding Xbox Kinect visualization capabilities
  • Collected data on the feasibility of using humans to remotely control robots to perform jobs in dangerous environments
